Although New York City brings a lot of commotion is an attraction for many people, the state of New York offers many locations that have also played an important role in the state’s history. For example the famous Woodstock Music and Arts Fair was held in Bethel for the first time, Chittenago, home for the author of the Wizard of Oz, L. Frank Baum, features yellow brick sidewalks that connect Oz-themed business. Oneida has the world’s smallest church measuring 3.5 x 6 ft. One of New York’s rivers, the Genesee is one of the couple rivers that flow from south to north. Also, we have to thank New York City for giving birth to the inventor of toilet paper, Joseph C. Gayetty. Finally, America’s first railroad ran for 11 miles connecting Albany and Schenectady.
For this and many more reason New York has become of great acclaim for people all over the globe, however, one detail that becomes a disadvantage for the state, however not acclaimed by all, is its harsh and bad winter seasons. Although many wish to experience these harsh winters to go skiing and be part of the world known Macy’s parade for Thanksgiving and New Year’s Ball drop at Times Square, many others flee these harsh conditions to warmer states on the southern border of the country.
Snowbird season is one of the most common seasons for the NY state, although it attracts less people than the ones who leave. This season starts from November to April and car transport services are required by many people to relocate them to pass the winter in warmer areas. It is recommended that if car transport services are required during this time, it is done ahead of time to avoid the snowfall and bad road conditions, as most of the time these conditions will cause delays and even make it impossible for drivers to move at all. The demand for transportation from the north to the south is very high and there are between 1-2 trips done weekly. Once the snow starts to clear up snowbird season turns around and the demand starts to come from the south to the north as people need to move back to their local places.
In order to avoid delays, high fees, extra fees, and most important fatalities, plan your car transport during snowbird season on time. Make sure you have enough flexibility and don’t book last minute requests as these are prone to have inconveniences.
